Help us as a volunteer.

Education and knowledge is our approach to the destruction of nature.

Your action:

Walk with us in schools and villages and teach children and adults the importance of protecting nature for them and their country.

Put us to practice environmental education. The planting of trees and shrubs is an important step for the children to learn about nature.

Through theatrical performances, video screenings, music and visits to zoos and national parks, including education about bushmeat and sustainable management of natural rain forest and the children and adults will be more closely examined.

Even for computer-related work a helping hand is always needed.

And: Remember that things in Africa often do not always works as planned !

Requirements:

Good English skills and additional knowledge of French would be an advantage

Beside that no special knowledge is required.

Advantage of open-mindedness and respect for other cultures, the willingness to help and to learn as well and a strong sense of humor.

All those interested in volunteer work are most welcome.

Specialists needed:

Again and again we need volunteers with special skills (e.g. Environmentalists, Computer experts, Photographers, Teachers, Performance Artists, Writers, etc).

Stay: The minimum duration is at least 1 month, the maximum period for a stay is 3 months.

The transfer to and from the airport is organized by WPE and is included in cost contribution.

Working hours are from Monday to Friday. The weekend is free.

The accommodations for our volunteers are clean but very simple.

Cost:

The daily cost of the volunteer contribution is 25 euros per night

(Note: Euros are converted into local currency everywhere, so not necessarily the U.S. dollar can be hired)

The fee covers the cost of co-operation costs during the project, including accommodation and basic meals (except alcohol and soft drinks), and transfer to / from the airport.

Not included are costs for medical and travel insurance, and local medical care.

Travel and health: It is recommended for the duration of the stay a private travel and health insurance in Germany, for example, complete the ADAC, with repatriation in case of illness etc.. Costs of this kind are NOT accepted by WPE. It is advisable to have from his tropical and / or family doctor or the Tropical Institute for the care (for example, about recommended vaccinations and malaria prophylaxis advice). This should preferably be done in good time prior to travel.

You need a yellow fever vaccination.
